Snappers!
Dec 10th
You are bending a significant bolt, piece of steel etc. The engines are at full steam and then pop! Did my shoulder give, did my finger break? Naw, ya busted a piece of steel? It can happen, so be aware. I have hit a few pieces that collapsed on me and it’s no fun. So next time you plant that piece under your chin just be ready! It’s not all made the same!
Isometric Training and Gaining
Nov 27th

Benders at all stages need isometric training in their routine to become better. So how do you tackle the a typical workout? Personally, I take my best bend say Double Over for example and have that bar ready to kink, the kink for most can go up and down the most. My second bar would be 20-50
heavier for the sweep part of the bend, it is my strongest section of the bend. Last, go for broke at 4 inches in so it feels like a wall! That’s were the gains are made. Good Luck! Get on the iso’s!
A Legend Amoung Us?
Nov 23rd

Often times the word Legend is thrown around and does not apply to the person it is being bestowed on. With the case of Gary Hunt a.k.a. Gazza it may be an understatement. In the circles we roll in ,”Bending” he is the hands down undisputed King Of Unbraced Bends! A current member of Benders Battlefield, he is helpful, gives excellent guidance and approaching 50 has not missed a beat.
His own pictures above show an Edgin Bolt bent, well barehand. Yeah, barehand! We all have a long way to go.
Carl Ansara Big Time On the Big Bars!
Nov 10th

If your talking long bars Carl Ansara is the King. Check the scroll of this 5/8 36 inch long piece of steel wrapped just in time for Christmas. Most would just be happy with the bend. Amazing!
